Kamran Akmal is under scrutiny because of match fixing through his career. He seems to be doing deliberately or by mistakes some acts that caught the attention of critics some way or another. These different kinds of acts were come under discussion heavily when Pakistan tour Australia. He dropped catches on regular basis and at time missed very important run out that changed the course of the match in favor of Australia.
Pakistan was favorite to win the Sydney test match after the situation that were developed because of the magnificent performance of Pakistan but poor wicket keeping of Kamran Akmal ruin everything from Pakistan’s point of view and Pakistan lost the match. In that match Kamran dropped catches as well as missed a very crucial and important run out at that time when Australia were 6 wickets down and a wicket at that point can be very helpful in the victory of Pakistan. When Kamran collected the ball batsmen was clearly not made it but he didn’t hit the wicket and just assume that the ball will directly hit the stump. This behavior or attitude fuel these thoughts that there might be the case or slightest chance of match fixing may be present.
Although Pakistan cricket board rejected all these critics as well as Kamran Akmal himself by saying that was happened entirely by chance but different reports says that there might be something that is not publically shown by the Pakistan cricket board to prevent the further damage to the image of Pakistani cricket.
